Wongin Hills

Ok not really, but the lovely lady in the op shop is considering changing the town’s name from Wongan Hills to Wongin Hills so they can join in the fun with the gin tour! 

Nice drive through Moora, didn’t stop as the Op shops weren’t open! 🤣

Arrived in Wongan Hills with an hour to spare before the 2 op shops closed! Power shopping at its best! Picked up a new friend for Imo, I think her & Gino make a beautiful  couple!

Got some great new clothes & CD’s for the trip (handy tip - check inside the covers to make sure the discs are actually in there 😩).

Lovely ladies and cool stuff (found another new friend to ride along) in the community art & craft centre and really yummy wraps for lunch from the bakery & cafe! 

Back on the road. Muntadgin here we come!!

Day 6 - the last hurrah!

 And alas, our epic adventure comes to an end. Enjoyed the beautiful view and the magpies at the cottage before heading up to the restaurant at Wise for breakfast. What a gorgeous spot to sit and relax & enjoy our last meal together - now 3 sisters & 2 nieces! Such an amazing experience to share together. If Mum was here, she would have been right there beside us! 💖😢💖

Let the fun be gin!

 Our final stop in our epic adventure - Wise Wine! Checked in to our gorgeous cottage and caught up with the next gineration who had driven down to meet us. 💖 We received a warm welcome from everyone & met the man himself, Greg,  who is the brains behind the outback gins! We were treated to a delicious lunch and had a wine or two as we filled him in on our tour - the best, the worst and the ugly! 🤣 Then on to the gin! We got to see where it all happens and learn a bit about the process, as well as a taste or two! Highly recommend the sorbet! We all squeezed into Greg’s mini (🤣) and headed to Bunker Bay for the official gin party! We had a tasting of all the gins (including the Muntadgin that we hadn’t been able to pick up) and spent the next few hours singing & dancing.
